ABOUT THE FOUNDER
A former honeymoon travel writer, Founder Diana Bufalini launched Fourteen August in 2023 as a way to capture the ethereal nature of exploration — the freedom, adventure, and expansiveness it affords those who are willing to seek it. Much like the waning glow of the mid-August sun, that “summer feeling” can run through our fingertips like a light evening rain, leaving us with only a memory of its sweetness.
As a writer, Diana strived to bring readers along on her sojourns with each written page, trying to capture the unique allure of every single destination. It wasn’t just the magical beaches or sunset sails that inspired her, but the feeling each place evoked.
With Fourteen August, she is once again capturing the magic of those faraway isles, this time with touchstones of beauty and memory — a physical reminder of salty breezes that kiss the cheeks and skies filled with electric stars. Collections like the Sun Goddess, our signature Carousels, and the inimitable Morgan pieces, all strike their own chord with movement, texture, and rich colors.
Diana Lives in Westchester with her husband, two jewelry-loving daughters, and her no less stylish dog, Stori.
